Rashane Bartlett joins the New Mexico Highlands University Track & Field staff as a volunteer assistant coach working with the Cowgirl sprints and hurdles groups. A highly accomplished collegiate hurdler, Bartlett brings championship experience, technical expertise, and a passion for athlete development to the Highlands program.
A former standout in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), Bartlett captured an MIAA conference title and qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships six times in the hurdles. Known for his explosive speed, precise rhythm, and competitive consistency, he established himself as one of the top hurdlers in the conference and region throughout his career.
Transitioning into coaching, Bartlett brings a detailed technical emphasis to his work with Highland athletes, focusing on sprint mechanics, hurdle efficiency, race modeling, and individualized progression. His experience competing and succeeding at the national level gives him valuable insight into the preparation required for championship caliber performance.
Bartlett is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Human Performance at New Mexico Highlands University. His blend of elite-level competition, academic focus, and commitment to athlete success makes him a valuable addition to the NMHU coaching staff.
