Mike Grose was named Assistant Director of Athletics for Communications at New Mexico Highlands University in August 2023, bringing more than three decades of experience across collegiate athletics, media, and communications.

Grose returned to collegiate athletics after a 25-year career in the financial services industry in Phoenix, Arizona, where he also maintained a strong presence in sports media. He hosted radio programs on local ESPN and Fox Sports affiliates, served as the host of the Arizona Interscholastic Association’s weekly football show, and was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Football Foundation - Valley of the Sun Chapter.

Prior to his time in Phoenix, Grose served as Sports Information Director at Regis University from 1987-94, while simultaneously acting as Information Director for the Colorado Athletic Conference. In that role, he hosted a weekly conference radio show in Denver and provided color commentary for the CAC Game of the Week alongside the late Irv Brown on Prime Sports Network.

Grose earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Regis University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
