Robert Rodriguez was named Sports Information Coordinator Student Assistant in August, 2026.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Rodriguez came to New Mexico Highlands University on a baseball scholarship in 2022. During his sophomore year, he began working in event staff, working jobs such as security, concessions, and scoreboard operator.

In 2025, after playing his final college baseball season at College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth, MN, Rodriguez returned to NMHU to finish his degree, and work in the Sports Information Department. He will be graduating in May of 2027 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration.

With four years of college baseball experience, and 2 years in the Sports Information Department, Rodriguez is the lead statistician for NMHU athletics, and is in charge of tracking in game statistics for all sports.
