Mines Outscores Cowgirls 2-0

The Cowgirls Soccer team lost their momentum as they battled the elements and the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on 10/25 at Perkins Stadium. The Orediggers defeated the Cowgirls 2-0 on a frigid Las Vegas day. The Cowgirls improved since the last time they played the Orediggers.

Shannon Delarosbil played the first half in the net and had one goal allowed from a header into the net and had two saves on the day. Lauren Waite came in as relief during the second half and had one goal allowed from a penalty kick and had 5 saves on the day.

The Orediggers outshot the Cowgirls having 12 shots with nine of those on goal while the Cowgirls had almost half that with 6 shots and 4 of those on goal. The Orediggers also managed to play a more physical game as they had 10 fouls and the Cowgirls had only five.

The Cowgirls are now 3-12 in RMAC play. They will play their last game of the season as home on 11/1 @ 12 pm at Perkins Stadium against the University of Nebraska -Kearney Lopers. The last time the Cowgirls and Lopers met up the Cowgirls came out victorious with a score of 1-0.
