The NMHU Cowgirls Volleyball team played two games on the road and lost both RMAC games. First, the Cowgirls travelled to Silver City, N.M. to take on the Western New Mexico University Mustangs. The Cowgirls lost in three games with scores of 25-17, 25-20, and 25-19.
Leading the Cowgirls was
Vanessa Leal with seven kills.
Kelsey Groff Led the defense with 3 assisted blocks.
Colleen Chauncey had two service aces on the night for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls then travelled to Grand Junction, Colo. to take on the Mesa State College Mavericks. The Cowgirls played well against the Mavericks but their efforts failed as they couldn't come away with the win. They lost in three games with scores of 25-19, 25-13 and 25-20.
Leal again led the Cowgirls efforts with nine kills.
Whitney Taylor led the Cowgirls defense with two assisted blocks.
The Cowgirls will now return home for their last home game and Senior Night on 11/3 at 7pm in the John A Wilson Complex as they play host to the Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds.
