The Cowgirl Volleyball team is still searching for their first RMAC win. This week, they hosted the Western New Mexico Mustangs and then took to the road against the Grizzlies of Adams State. The Cowgirls weren't able to come out with a win, losing each game in three sets.
First up the Mustangs made quick work of the Cowgirls with scores of 25-19, 25-9 and 25-12.
Ashley Nugent led the Cowgirls with seven attacks. On the Defensive side,
Jazmine Harge had 2 blocks, both solo.
Next up for the Cowgirls were the Grizzlies of Adams State, who took the Cowgirls to five sets the last time they met up. The Grizzlies took over the Cowgirls in three sets with scores of 25-10, 25-22, and 25- 14. Nugent again led the Cowgirls with eight kills and a block on the night.
The Cowgirls registered three blocks on the night as the Grizzlies had 13.5 blocks for the game. The Cowgirls committed 25 errors to the Grizzlies' nine.
The Cowgirls will host their last weekend series of the season on 10/29-30 as they honor their seniors. The Cowgirls will first take on the Mesa State Mavericks followed by the Fort Lewis Skyhawks the next night. Both games will begin at 7pm in the John A. Wilson Complex in beautiful Las Vegas, NM. Be sure to attend and support your Cowgirls in their last homestead!
