The NMHU Cowboys took on the Colorado Christian University Cougars on 3/5 in the semi-finals of the RMAC Shootout and would come away with the win by a final score of 96-64. The Cowboys now advance to the RMAC Championship game against Metro State College on 3/6 at 5:00 pm in Pueblo, Colo. This is the first time in NMHU history that the Cowboys have advanced to the RMAC Final Four as well as the RMAC Championship game.
The Cowboys took an early lead in this one and never looked back as the Cowboys would finish the first half leading the Cougars 50-32. The Cowboys shot an impressive 53% from beyond the three point arc.
The Cowboys would also shoot 56% from the field for the first half.
In the second half it would be more of the same as the Cowboys continued to pour it on. The Cowboys would outscore the Cougars 46-32 in the second half. The Cowboys would finish the game with a 57% shooting percentage and a 40% three-point shooting percentage.
"This is a great win for our program. I am very happy with the win, but we are not finished yet. We have a very tough opponent (Metro State)ahead of us. We have one more test between us and our goal, an RMAC Championship" said NMHU

Leading the Cowboys in scoring was
Chop Tang with 23 points on the night. Tang would add in five rebounds, three assists, three blocked shots and one steal in the Cowboys blow-out semi-final win.
Roman Andrade would finish second in scoring for the Pokes with 20 points, seven assists, and five steals.
