The NMHU Cowboys came away with an 85-75 win over the Chadron State Eagles on 1/14. The Cowboys finished the tightly played game on an eight to one scoring run in the final two minutes to seal their eleventh win of the season. With the win, the Cowboys advance to 11-4 on the season and 7-4 in RMAC play. The Cowboys will wrap up their weekend series on 1/15 as they play host to the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
The Cowboys finished the night shooting 47% from the field and 66% from the free throw line. The Cowboy defense would rack up 10 steals and three blocked shots for the night. The Cowboys would also force the Eagles to turn the ball over 15 times throughout the game.
Thomas Manzano would finish the night leading all scorers with 30 points for the night. Manzano would add in six rebounds, one assist and two steals to his night's totals.
Momcilo Latinovic would finish the night with 18 points, eight rebounds and one steal.
Chris Newsome would round out the Cowboys top scorers for the night. Newsome would finish with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, one blocked shot and one steal to round out his night.
The Cowboys will hit the hardwood again on 1/15 as they play host to the Lopers of the University of Nebraska-Kearney in the John A. Wilson Complex.
