Box Score The NMHU Cowboys started out their 2011-12 season with a 79-64 loss to the Mustangs of Midwestern State University in their first game of the CSU-Pueblo Al Kaly Classic on 11/18 in Pueblo, Colo. The Cowboys struck first as they scored the first points of the game, but after that it would be all Mustangs as MSU would lead by as much as 17 as they improved to 3-0 on the season. The Cowboys are now 0-1 on the season and look for their first win of the 2011-12 season as they wrap-up the Al Kaly Classic with the Tigers of Colorado College on 11/9 at 3:00 p.m. in Pueblo, Colo.
Marcus Williams led all scorers as he finished the night with 19 points. Williams added in six rebounds, three assists and one steals to his stat line for the game. No other Cowboy would finish in double figures. AJ Williams and
Momcilo Latinovic would round out the top three performers for the Cowboys. Williams finished with eight points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. Latinovic finished with seven points and four rebounds.
