The NMHU Cowboys cruised to their 18th win of the season on 2/18 as they dropped the Rangers of Regis University 79-68 in Denver, Colo. The Cowboys would finish the night with four players in double figures as they easily handled the Rangers. With the win, the Cowboys jump into third place in the RMAC standings behind Metro State College and the Colorado School of Mines. The Cowboys improve to 18-6 on the season and 14-6 in RMAC play.
The Cowboys finished the night shooting 52% from the field and 56% from the charity stripe. The Cowboys would pull down 43 rebounds for the night and rack up seven steals and four blocked shot. Three of the seven steals came from
Ledreece Smith as he led the Cowboys in steals for the night.
Mindaugas Markevicius would lead the Cowboys with 17 points on the night. Markevicius would add in four rebounds and one assist to his night's totals.
Momcilo Latinovic would finish with his fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Latinovic would add in one blocked shot, one steal and one assist for his totals.
Ryan Gonzales would finish with 10 points, three rebounds and one steals.
Thomas Manzano would round out the top four with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists.
