Cowgirls Fall to #22 ASU in Three Straight

Box Score Alamosa, Colo. - The NMHU Cowgirls fell in three sets to the nationally ranked Grizzlies of #22 Adams State University on 11/2. The Cowgirls would fall quickly in the first set 25-14, but would make the next two sets a bit more competitive falling 25-23 and 25-20 to end the match against their nationally ranked opponent. With the loss, NMHU falls to 6-20 overall and 2-14 in RMAC play. The Cowgirls will have to regroup quickly as they travel to Gunnison, Colo. to take on the Mountaineers of Western State Colorado University on 11/3.

Andrea Nuñez led the Cowgirls in kills for the match with nine for the night. Nuñez added in one solo block and two digs to her night's totals.

Darian Mullen and Stephanie Wilson round out the top three Cowgirl performers against the nationally ranked Grizzlies with six kills each. Mullen also had a team high seven digs to her night's performance. Wilson finished the night adding in three block assists and three digs to her night's totals.

The Cowgirls will have a quick turnaround to face their next opponent as they take on the Mountaineers of Western State Colorado University on 11/3 in Gunnison, Colo.
