Box Score The NMHU Cowboys got back on track on 2/17 with an 86-68 win over the Rangers of Regis University in front of a great home crowd in the John A. Wilson Complex. The Pokes and the Rangers started out the first half battling back-and-forth throughout trading the lead six times. The Cowboys would hold the slight advantage 31-30 at the halftime break. In the second half, the Cowboys never lost their lead as they picked up the pace on the Rangers leading by as much as 23 points. With the win, the Cowboys improve to 11-13 on the season and 9-11 in RMAC play.
As a team the Cowboys finished the night shooting 53% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc. The Cowboys hit a season high 10 three-point buckets in their win over Regis University. Defensively the Cowboys pulled down 22 defensive rebounds, blocked six RU shots and stole the ball 11 times on the night from the Rangers.
Momcilo Latinovic led the way for the Pokes with 25 points. Latinovic would lead all scorers for the night with his 25 point performance. Latinovic added in four rebounds, two blocked shots and three steals to his night's totals.
Billy Austin finished the night 6-7 from the field and a perfect 3-3 from the three-point line. Austin finished the night second in scoring for the Pokes with 16 points. Austin added in two rebounds, six assists and one steal for the night.
Lionel Coleman finished the night leading the Cowboys in rebounds with seven boards for the game. Coleman added in 13 points and one blocked shot to his night's performance.
