Cowgirls Come Up Short in RMAC Opener

Box Score In Grand Junction, Colo. the Cowgirls had a rough start to conference play against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks falling in three straight sets (25-15, 25-14, 25-12) to give the Cowgirls a record of 3-6 overall and 0-1 in RMAC play.

Leading the way for the Cowgirls was Sarah Dirmeyer with a team high 10 kills and one block.

Marina Samoa pitched in with a team high 11 digs and five kills.

Coming off an all-tournament performance at the Tarleton Invitational, Darian Mullen contributed with five kills and four digs to help make the Cowgirls competitive.

The Cowgirls look to bounce back on 9/15 as they travel to Durango, Colo. to take on the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College at 7:00 p.m.
