Cody Marquez started the night strong for the Cowboys. Quickly in the second round, he was in a scramble against Tuli Laulua that led to a pin in 3:40.

Erick Rangel at 125 lost in a very close decision against Ian Wingstrom, 5-4.
The Cowboys lost their next five matches at 133, 141, 149, 157 and at 165 lb against the Grizzlies.

Juan Alvarado at 165 lost in a very close match against Mark Mabry Jr, by the final score of 5-4.
The Cowboys Upper Weights prevailed against the Grizzlies. Starting at 174, junior
Easton Hargrave earned a convincing decision 7-1 against Mario Garcia. Senior,
Igor Gomzin at 184 dominated Nevada Bencomo in all three rounds to earn the major decision, 15-4. Junior
Justin Rockhill at 197 earned a pin in high fashion against Dakota Bencomo in nineteen seconds in the third round.
The Cowboys will travel to Grand Junction, Colorado. to wrestle against Colorado Mesa University tonight (Jan.24) at 7 p.m.
