OLYMPIA, Wash. – It was a dominating day for New Mexico Highlands wrestling team (4-0), picking up wins against Pacific (Oregon) 47-6, Warner Pacific 36-6 and at Highline CC in the nightcap, 33-12.
 
Redshirt sophomore Luis Terrazas continued his successful week at 197 pounds with a pair of first period pins against Pacific and Highline while earning a major decision, 10-2, against Warner Pacific. Senior Easton Hargrave also moved to 4-0 in dual competition with a pin and two decisions.
 
Freshman Kellen Pelzel recorded a pair of tech falls at 157 while redshirt sophomore Jacob Espana went 3-0 with a tech fall and a decision. Redshirt junior Tre Humphrey at 133 wrestled the final two matches of the day at 133, winning both – including knocking off last week's NAIA Wrestler of the Week (national), Josh Crager.
 
Redshirt sophomoe Cody Marquez recorded the final pin of the day for the Cowboys, taking down Bryan Hoffman of Syracuse and recording the fall in 1:27.
 
The Cowboys conclude action in Washington Saturday (Jan. 10) when they take on Puget Sound Communtity College at 9 a.m. while taking on Simon Fraser at 11 a.m.
