LAKEWOOD AND GOLDEN, COLO. – The New Mexico Highlands Volleyball Team (6-17, 2-11 RMAC) prepare themselves to face Colorado Christian University (10-13, 6-6 RMAC) and #18 Colorado School of Mines (17-5, 11-2 RMAC).
The Cowgirls are coming off a tough weekend where they dropped both matches against Regis University and Chadron State College. Senior
Andrea Nunez displayed a strong game against Regis having a double-double (16 kills, 14 digs). Nunez is leading the team with 2.65 kills per set while
Lexis Satele is first in digs with 3.45 per set.
Scouting Colorado Christian University The Cougars are top in conference rankings for defense. They are allowing an average of 11.51 kills per set.
Currently, they are on 1-4 run and have lost two of those games at home.
Scouting #18 Colorado School of Mines The Orediggers will be a tough opponent for the Cowgirls. The Orediggers are a strong offensive team as they average 14.72 kills per set.
They are having a great season and have only one loss at home. Despite, their dominance this year, the Orediggers are coming off a 0-3 loss against Metro State.
Game time will be 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30 at Colorado Christian University and 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31 at Colorado School of Mines. Live stats and video will be available.
