Two tough opponents over Thanksgiving weekend for Cowboys

RIVERSIDE, Calif.- The Cowboys stay on the road, and head west to California for the Ayres Thanksgiving Classic. They will take on Concordia University (Calif.), Nov. 27 at 6 p.m. and California Baptist University, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. The Cowboys look to change their luck after falling to the Buffs 92-105.

In that game, the Cowboys were in striking distance for half of the game until the Buffs went on a shooting spree in the second half. The Cowboys only had three less field goals made than the Buffs in the second half, but the 10 of the Buffs' made shots were 3-pointers.

Leading the way for the Cowboys was Jonathon Mines with 27 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds and 1 steal; followed by Marlon Johnson with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block and 1 steal.
