#4 Lancers too much for Cowboys

Box Score RIVERSIDE, Calif.- On the second day of the Ayres Thanksgiving Classic, the Cowboys could not come up with the win against California Baptist. The Cowboys struggled in the first half to make shots and although they began to make shots in the second half, it was too late as the Lancers came out with the 95-63 win.

The Cowboys would be the first to strike with two made free throws from Kaylen Shane. Soon the Lancers would counter back with a three and taking advantage of the Cowboys' mishaps, they would go on to build a 10-2 lead. At 17:34 mark, Shane would break the run with a dunk. The Cowboys could not get any rhythm going against the Lancers defense and as a result, the Lancers would build a dominating lead over the boys.

The boys would go into the locker room down 29 points to the Lancers, 55-26.

Going into the second half, points by Ron Lawton and Jonathan Mines would cut the deficit to 21 points with 16:03 left on the clock. The Cowboys would manage to get on the free throw line in the second half as they had 18 made free throws.

Despite the Cowboys efforts to cut the lead, the Lancers would push on and continue to have a plus 20-point lead on the boys for the rest of the half. The Lancers were a strong team and they won 95-63.
