Sharing is Caring as 21 Assists Help Lead Cowboys to a WIn

Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.-  The Cowboys continued their conference success with a win over Western Colorado State University 98-74. Marlon Johnson and Jonathon Mines had stellar performances as they combined for 53 of the Cowboys' 98 points. Turnovers were a big key in the first half to help the boys take a 16 point lead onto the half. The Cowboys also had 21 assist including five from Matthew Logan.
 
Jonathon Mines got first blood in the match as he scored a layup just seconds into the game. The Cowboys would then continue to score and go on a 9-0 run that lasted three minutes. The Mountaineers would then drain a three to get on the board with 16:54 on the clock. With the Cowboys up 14-5, they would build their lead by scoring six unanswered points.
 
After a layup by Kendrick Nichols, who had 17 points, the Cowboys would earn a 21 point lead with 8:01 left on the clock in the first half. Both teams would trade points and go into the half 45-29
 
In the second half, the Mountaineers would put up a fight as they scored 45 points in the half but it wasn't enough as the Cowboys scored another 53. With the Cowboys up 47-31 Johnson and Mines continued their dominance as they scored the next 13 points. The Cowboys would be up with a commanding  60-31 lead with 15:31 left in the game.
 
The Cowboys were relentless as they never let the Mountaineers have a chance to get back in the game.
