Cowboys First Home Game

Come join us Saturday afternoon 1PM and cheer on the NMHU Cowboys football team for their first home game! The Cowboys will be facing Fort Lewis College Skyhawks for our homecoming game! 

The Cowboys are coming off a tight 37-37 loss to in state opponent Western New Mexico. Despiste the loss the Cowboys showed much improvement. The Cowboys saw senior Keith Moore have over 360 total yards with 5 passing touchdowns. On the receiving end saw junior Kirt Terry-Sprngs with 198 yards and 2 touchdown, while tight end Dominique Bierra had a coming out party with 97 yards and 3 touchdowns. 

Cowboys are averaging 17.33 points per game, 106 rushing yards per game, and 213 passing yards per game.  

The Skyhawks are coming off a 48-7 win over Black Hills St. Last season the Cowboys beat the Skyhawks 45-10.

The Cowboys have had a rough beginning of the season; but they look to turn it around on their home turf Saturday afternoon!
