New Mexico Highlands Women's Volleyball team take on Western State Colorado University this weekend on Friday October 7
th at 5:00 pm and Colorado Mesa University the following day, October 8
th at 7:00 pm. Your Cowgirls hold a 5-6 overall record, and 2-4 RMAC record.
NMHU Cowgirls:
The Cowgirls previously traveled to Metropolitan State University of Denver and lost to the Roadrunners in four sets. Redshirt Junio
Jasmine Dixon came out fierce and had 14 kills during the match. Senior
Caroline Hansen's defense was consistent throughout the game and she made 17 digs. Junior
Shayli Schulz had a total of 36 assists against the Roadrunners. The Cowgirls hope to have great game play as they travel to Colorado for the weekend.
Western State Colorado University:
The Mountaineers will be awaiting the Cowgirls with a fierce motive after losing in five sets against the Fort Lewis Skyhawks on October 1
st, which brought their overall record to 7-7 and 3-3 in RMAC. Senior Tori Gaherty had 15 kills and Senior Amanda Maestas had total of 18 digs against the Skyhawks. Allison Walker had a great performance totaling her assists to 44.
Colorado Mesa University:
The Mavericks hope to have a great game against the Cowgirls after taking home the win against Adams State last Saturday October 1
st. Their overall record is now 9-6 and RMAC record is 4-2. Mesa did great in four sets against Adams State. Freshman Allison Smith came out fierce and had 19 kills. Senior Ali Svorinic had an outstanding game with 58 assists. Sophomore Taylor Woods ended the match with 22 digs.
