Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M.- The Cowboys had a tough night against #7 Fort Lewis losing 96-77. Fort Lewis came out strong and used that momentum to help them carry the lead to the end.

Jonathon Mines had another strong night as he led both teams with 22 points.

The Skyhawks came out hot as they started the game with a 12-5 lead. After a tip-in by
Marlon Johnson, the Cowboys would only be down 20-14 with 12:50 on the clock. From there, the Skyhawks began to dominate as they built an 18-point lead.

The Cowboys would go into the locker room down 53-35.

In the second half, the Cowboys would pick up their game as they shot over 50% from the field. Despite their hot shooting in the second half, the Cowboys would be outscored 43-42 in the half.

The Skyhawks never gave up their lead and had a double-digit lead the whole half. The Cowboys return to action tomorrow against Adams State.
