Wrestling Falls to Chadron 22-16

 CHADRON, Neb-  The Cowboy wrestling team started off their second half of the season off with a dual against RMAC foe Chadron St. Just coming off the RMAC championships, the Cowboys were hoping to start off the second half strong. Unfortunately, the Cowboys would fall to the Eagles by a score of 22-16.
 
The Cowboys opens the dual strong as Jacob Espana won the 125 weight class in an 8-4 decision over Kile. The Eagles would get on the board in the 133 class as Summers defeated Tre Humphrey in a 9-5 decision. Cowboys would then take the next two duals and the next seven points. Dan Gaylor, who finished fourth place at the RMAC Championship, would get a tight 6-4 decision over Miller of Chadron for three Cowboy points. Orlando Guerra would then take a major 13-4 decision over Steinmetz to give the Cowboys the 10-3 lead.
 
The Eagles would take the next three duals to make it interesting. Porter of Chadron would find four points by a major decision over Luchuga by a score of 10-2, to make it a 10-7 Cowboy team lead. Chadron's Helmick would then pin Jacob Hawthrone in 2:20 to give the Eagles the 13-10 team lead. The Eagles would also take the 174 dual by a score of 5-3 to extend their team lead to 16-10.
 
Luis Terrazas would then stop the bleeding and take the 6-0 decision over Rodenburg to cut the Eagles lead to 16-13. Cody Marquez would then tie the dual up at 16 with a 3-0 decision over Hircock.
 
The whole dual came down to the 285 weight class. It would come down to the last thirty-seconds when Cogdill of Chadron would pin Grenowich at the 5:33 mark and Chadron would take the match 22-16.
 
The Cowboys will return action tomorrow night, Friday the 5^th, at Colorado School of Mines
