Las Vegas, NM- New Mexico Highlands University Women's Soccer Team fall short in tonight's game againist #3 Colorado School of Mines at Perkins Stadium. Your Cowgirls stumble to a 1-6-1 overall record and 1-4 RMAC.
First Half:
The Ordiggers came out hot as they scored off a corner kick by Junior Emily Garnier which resulted to a goal by Sophomore Taylor McRae within five minutes of the game. Then the Cowgirls got their shot at a corner kick by Senior
Samantha Mendez and Senior
Ashley Simons found the ball in the air as she tried to head it in but was saved by Oredigger's Senior Sam Zumbro.
Halftime (1-0) CSM
Second Half:
Going into the second half, Cowgirls Junior
Emily Ortiz attempted a shot at the goal, but the Orediggers goalie got the save once again. Then  Senior
Anyssa Dagnino tried to tie the game but was blocked by the Ordiggers defensive . After a couple minutes pasted, the Oredigger were rewarded a plenty kick and Orediggers Junior Emily Garnier synced it in, which made it  her third goal of the season. As the game came to an end, the Oredigger remind undefeated.Â
The Cowgirls continue play on October 2 against Colorado Christian University in Perkins stadium at 1 pm MDT. Live stats and Video broadcasting will be available online!!
