Las Vegas, NM- New Mexico Highlands Women's Soccer team will play against Midwestern State University for their Home Opener on Sept. 5 at 11am in Perkins Stadium.

After coming off the road, your Cowgirls come home to face Midwestern State. The Mustangs have been on the road playing against two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams. Their first game of the season was against Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Midwestern and Regis ended up going into double over time, but had to take the tie. In that game, Senior Forward Nicole Coetzer and Freshman Forward Avery Lewis were the ones that found a way to kick the ball past the Regis goalie. Then Junior Goalkeeper Courtney Burnette ended the game with 11 saves. Next the Mustangs traveled to Colorado State University- Pueblo in Pueblo, Colorado. Pueblo came out hard and got their two goals in the first half. Midwestern tried to come back with having five shots on goal, but ended up getting their first loss.

This past Saturday (Sept. 3) the Cowgirls traveled to Austin, Texas to play against #14 St. Edward's University. Your Cowgirls had a hard time against the Hilltoppers with a loss of 0-5. The Cowgirls had only one attempt on goal, which was from Junior Forward
