LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands volleyball team continues its five-match homestand this weekend as the Cowgirls host Adams State 7 p.m. Friday and Fort Lewis 6 p.m. Saturday.

COWGIRLS HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND | SEASON STATS
The Cowgirls split a pair of matches last weekend, sweeping Westminster 3-0 and falling to Dixie State 3-1. It was a balanced effort in the victory as Cynthia Norris had 10 kills, Tiffany Matchett had nine, Taley Ferrari had eight and Julie Staffler had seven. Celina Naranjo had a team-best 22 assists while Trinity Saiz had 20 digs.

On the season, Matchett (2.91 kills per set) and Norris (2.23) lead the Cowgirls in kills while Staffler is just under two kills per set at 1.97. Naranjo (5.16), Samantha Sjogren (3.62) and Soleil Gandara (3.26) lead the team in assists per set while Elena Rivera (4.33) and Matchett (3.59) lead the team in digs.

Earlier this season the Cowgirls defeated Adams State in five sets and lost to Fort Lewis in five sets.
 
ABOUT ADAMS STATE | SEASON STATS
The Grizzlies have won three of their last four matches, including splitting last weekend as they lost at Colorado Mesa 3-1 and beat Western Colorado 3-0 (both matches at home).

On the season, Hannah Goddard leads the team in kills per set at 2.87 while Shannon Mulkey averages 2.67 and Julianna Zamora is at 2.15. The Grizzlies' primary setter is Rachael Ringler as she's fourth in the RMAC at 10.41 assists per set while Mackenzie Swanson leads the team in digs at 3.97 per set. Atira Jells (0.72) and Mulkey (0.71) lead the team in blocks per set.
 
ABOUT FORT LEWIS | SEASON STATS
The Skyhawks since starting the season 1-9 have gone 7-2 - including winning four matches in a row capped with an impressive five-set win over Colorado Mesa on Saturday.

Haley Christiansen leads the team in kills at 2.87 per set and is followed by Bailey Longacre (2.51), Tye Wedhorn (2.30) and Ohiyah Shirley (2.04). Kendra Swackenberg is the team's primary setter at 6.96 per set while Megan Graefe leads the team in digs (4.36 per set).
