LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands wrestling team fell to Adams State 35-7 Thursday night in the Cowboys' final home dual of the season.

On senior night senior
Chris Collins at 197 pounds grinded out a victory over Khalil Gipson 3-1 to pick up his 12th win of the season. NMHU also picked up a win at 149 pounds as Las Vegas, New Mexico, native
Jonathan Trujillo moved up a weight class due to injury (usually wrestles at 141), dominated his match and defeated Noah Hermosillo 14-2 to move to 12-3 on the season.

The Cowboys also honored their four seniors on Thursday night: Collins,
Adrian George,
Dom Rivera and
Santana Guerra.

NMHU next competes in California next weekend as the Cowboys take on San Francisco State on Jan. 25 and then compete in the 42nd Annual California Collegiate Open on Jan. 26.
