RAPID CITY, S.D. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team fell to South Dakota School of Mines 73-35 on Saturday afternoon at the King Center.

The Cowgirls (4-16 overall, 2-11 RMAC) trailed by two at 20-18 after
Kish Chandler drained a 3-pointer for three of her team-best 12 points at the 4:57 mark in the second quarter. But the Hardrockers (6-11, 3-10) ended the half on a 10-2 run to take a 30-20 lead at the break. NMHU went on to be outscored 43-15 in the second half.

Chandler paced the Cowgirls with 12 points to go along with five rebounds while
Allyah George had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to go along with a team-high four steals.

The Cowgirls return home to take on UC Colorado Springs on Friday before taking on Colorado School of Mines on Saturday.
