Salt Lake City, UT --- The New Mexico Highlands women's soccer team traveled to Utah where they lost a pair of matches to Dixie State on Friday night and Westminster on Sunday.

Against Dixie State: Aly Loidolt scored her second goal of the season in the 10-1 Trailblazer win. The goal came off a deflection after Trailblazer keeper Romina Parraguez saved Loidolt's first shot attempt.

The Cowgirls tallied 8 shots with 2 of them on goal which included
Aly Loidolt (2 shots on goal),
Janis Martinez (3 shots) and
Monique Nevarez,
Ariana Castillo, and
Nitza Rodriguez, who each took a shot. Keeper
Katherine Scott recorded 10 saves.

AGAINST WESTMINSTER: The Cowgirl started the game with great defensive efforts, as they held the Griffins to one goal in the first half, which came off a rebound after
Karina Vega saved the initial attempt. The Griffins would then turn up the heat to score 4 goals in the second half.

The Cowgirls attempted 9 shots on the game with 5 of them being on goal.
Ariana Castillo led the way for the Cowgirl offense as she racked in 2 shots on goal.
Janis Martinez (2 shots),
Alexandra Rodriguez (1 shot on goal),
Monique Nevarez (1 shot on goal), and
Cameron Jimenez (1 shot) would al aid the Cowgirls on offense. Keeper
Karina Vega tallied 12 saves.

The Cowgirls will be back in action for their final weekend of the season, where they will take on Adams State on Friday November 1
st in Santa Fe, NM and then Fort Lewis on Sunday November 3
rd in Las Vegas, NM for senior day.
