Women's Volleyball hosts Colorado Christian and #17 Regis

 
Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands Volleyball team have another quick turn-around as they will host Colorado Christian at 7 PM on Friday October 4^th and Regis at 5 PM on Saturday October 5^th in Las Vegas, NM at the Wilson Complex.

ABOUT THE COUGARS: The Cougars (5-8, 1-4 RMAC) are hitting 12.5 kills per set and have 598 on the season. Cali Bahnsen and Ashley Drye lead the way offensively for the Cougars as Bahnsen (11 blocks, 32 digs) has 129 kills and Drye (24 blocks, 38 digs) has 119 kills. The Cougars also average 17.4 digs per set, as they have tallied 843 on the season. Mariela Gonzales leads the team in digs, as she has 277 on the year.

ABOUT THE RANGERS: The Rangers (10-3, 4-1 RMAC) are currently ranked #17 in the nation and are tied for second in conference play. The Rangers have three players with over 100 kills: Nikki Kennedy with 126, Kelsey Green with 118, and Caitlyn Burroway with 107. The Rangers average 12.7 kills per set and have tallied 610 on the season. Burroway also plays a huge role for the Rangers defensively as she leads the team in digs with 151 and also has 11 blocks. Mara LeGrand also aids the Rangers defense with 124 digs and 12 blocks. The Rangers average 15.9 digs per set with 763 on the season and have totaled 103 blocks.

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS: The Cowgirls (1-12, 0-5 RMAC) are still searching for their first conference win of the season. Keegan Lopez and Sierra Foley lead the way for the Cowgirls as Lopez has tallied 99 kills and Foley with 87 kills. Taley Ferrari seems to have found her role defensively as she leads the team in blocks with 34. Libero Bryanna Lopez will look to clean things up in the back row as she has 158 digs on the year.
