Cowgirls take on CSU-Pueblo

 
Las Vegas, NM --- The New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls Women's Soccer will travel to pueblo, CO after a long week off, to take on the Colorado State-Pueblo ThunderWolves at 12 pm on Sunday October 6^th.

ABOUT THE THUNDERWOLVES: The ThunderWolves are 2-5-1 overall and 1-2-1 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The ThunderWolves are coming off a 0-0 draw with Colorado Christian and losing to Colorado Mines 5-1. The ThunderWolves have scored 5 goals on the season as Madison Jepperson and Justine Martinez have 2 goals apiece and Jordin Schaller has a goal of her own. Jepperson has been a threat for the ThunderWolves offense as she has an assist and 11 shots with 8 on goal. Litzy Serna will also be a threat for the ThunderWolves as she doesn't have a goal but has taken 23 shots with 8 on goal. Keeper Rylie Martin has played in all 13 games for the ThunderWolves and has allowed 13 goals and recorded 39 saves on the year.

ABOUT THE COWGIRLS: The Cowgirls (0-6, 0-4 RMAC) have yet to win a game this year but have shown signs of improvement. The Cowgirls will have a great opportunity to get their first win of the season against CSU-Pueblo if they continue to play well. The Cowgirls have scored 3 goals on the season with Janis Martinez (2 goals) and Aly Loidolt (1 goal) to lead the squad. Maiya Asperin also has aided with an assist. Katherine Scott has started in 4 games for the Cowgirls with 25 saves on 75 shots faced and allowed 17 goals. Karina Vega has started in 2 games for the Cowgirls and has recorded 22 saves on 66 shots faced and allowed 15 goals.
