Las Vegas, NM --- The Cowgirls hit the road to Nebraska to play in the Rosella Meier UNK Fall Classic. On September 13
th, they will look to continue their win streak against Rockhurst University at 9:00 a.m. (MT), and then the University of Mary at 3 p.m. (MT).
New Mexico Highlands: The Cowgirls are 1-3 on the season and, again, will take stabs at their lineups before conference play against Colorado Mesa on homecoming weekend. The Cowgirls average 9.1 kills per set and also average 16.1 digs per set.
Keegan Lopez leads the way for the Cowgirls with 37 kills on the year. Senior
Bryanna Lopez leads the team in digs with 72.
Rockhurst University: Rockhurst comes in to the game ranked 17
th in the nation with a record of 2-2 with wins over West Alabama and California-State Los Angeles They are let by Alyssa Woodman and Karli Reichert, who both lead the team in kills. Jadyn Makovicka leads the Hawks in digs with 76 on the year.
University of Mary: The Marauders come in to this weekend hoping to get their first win as they are 0-4 on the season. They are led by setter Sydney Murphy who will look to find Morgan Schnabel and Anna Nietfield, who both lead the team in kills. Leading the Marauders in digs this season is Natalia Cruz.
The Cowgirls will continue play on Saturday September 14
th, with a pair of matches against the University of Nebraska at Kearney at 11 p.m. (MT). They will then play against Arkansas Tech University at 3 p.m. (MT).
University of Nebraska at Kearney: The Lopes come in to the weekend ranked 8
th in the nation, with a 5-0 record and wins over Adams St. and Oklahoma Baptist. Leading the way for the Lopes in kills are Emma Benton and Julianne Jackson.
Arkansas Tech: The Golden Suns will start the weekend 1-3 with a win against Misouri S&T. The Miners are led by senior Allie Anderson, who leads the team in kills and by sophomore Madison Grantham, who leads the team in digs.
