DENVER --- The New Mexico Highlands women's soccer team fell to MSU Denver 5-0 Friday at The Assembly Athletic Complex.
The Roadrunners (5-4-2, 3-4) scored four first-half goals to take a strong lead at the break before scoring another in the 72nd minute to close out the scoring.
The Cowgirls were outshot 20-1 in the contest, including 13-1 in shots on goal. Three keepers played for NMHU with
Autumn Stewart getting the most time (52:37) and picking up six saves in nine shots on goal against her.
The Cowgirls return to action 11 a.m. Sunday as they travel to take on Black Hills State.
