Box Score LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands volleyball team lost 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-18, 24-26, 16-14) to Colorado Christian on Friday night at Wilson Complex.
Each set except the third was decided by two points, including the final set that saw the Cougars edge the Cowgirls 16-14.
The Cowgirls were at match point 14-13 after a
Terayah Stukes kill before CCU got a kill from Izzy Jones, took advantage of an attack error and another kill by Jones to win the set and the match.
Keegan Lopez led NMHU with 18 kills to go along with three block assists.
Lisi Langi had 15 kills and three block assists and a solo block, Stukes finished with 10 kills and
Stacy Johnson had seven kills, six block assists and five aces.
Soleil Gandara had a team-high 45 assists while Stukes also added a team-best 15 digs.
The Cowgirls return to action 5 p.m. Saturday as they host No. 1 MSU Denver at Wilson Complex.
