LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's soccer team lost to Westminster 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at Old Memorial Middle School.
The Griffins (9-2-4 overall, 6-2-3 RMAC) scored three first-half goals on the Cowgirls (1-12, 1-10) - coming in the 16th, 38th and 39th minutes.
NMHU was outshot 19-9 in the contest - including 15-4 on shots on goal.
Valeria Baca led the team with three shots - one on goal - while
Kiarra Hovis took two shots - one on goal.
Katherine Scott picked up 12 saves at keeper for the cowgirls.
NMHU plays its season finale 2 p.m. Wednesday at home against Adams State.
