The New Mexico Highlands University women's volleyball team took down tourney host Southeastern Oklahoma 3-1 on Saturday afternoon to finish the Southeastern Classic with the first win of the season.Â
"We played strong all weekend," said HU head coach
Tom Duke, "finishing up with a big win on their home court shows how much resilience and potential we have on this team."
The Cowgirls lost their first three matches of the tournament to strong squads from Central Oklahoma, Southern Nazarene and UT- Tyler but came out fired up in the tournament finale.
Lisi Langi (14),
Camryn Nelson (13) and
Stacy Johnson (11) each recorded double- digit kills to drive the Cowgirl attack.
