LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team fell to Adams State 64-51 on Saturday night at Wilson Complex.
The Cowgirls (3-11, 0-8) trailed 21-10 after the first quarter and cut the Adams State (5-8, 3-5) deficit to eight points at the half at 37-29, but couldn't rally in the second half against the Grizzlies.
Jordyn Lewis led NMHU with 21 points - going 6-for-12 from 3-point range.
Sana'a Baker added eight points, foru rebounds and two steals.
NMHU returns to action Friday at home against Colorado Christian.
