LAS VEGAS, N.M. --- The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team plays its first games since Jan. 1 when the Cowboys host Colorado Christian 7 p.m. Friday and MSU Denver 7 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Complex.

COWBOYS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowboys are coming off splitting a pair of RMAC home contests, defeating Westminster 68-64 on Dec. 31 behind Desmond Carpenter's 15 points before falling to Colorado Mesa 85-61 on Jan. 1 with Sammy Barnes-Thompkins scoring a team-high 21 points.

Carpenter leads the team in scoring at 15.7 points per game as well as 2.8 steals per contest to go along with 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Marcus Brown is averaging 14.9 points per game and is fifth in the nation in free throws made (69) and seventh in free throws attempted (87) while also averaging 3.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Barnes-Thompkins is averaging 12.6 points and 2.6 assists per game, Ja' Vary Christmans is at 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while Andre Adams is averaging 10.2 points, and 5.4 rebounds per contest.

COLORADO CHRISTIAN HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cougars are coming off a pair of losses on the road last week, falling at Westminster 60-47 on Friday and 101-66 on Saturday at Colorado Mesa.

Ross Williams leads the team in scoring at 21.3 points per game to go along with 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals. Andy Stafford is averaging 12.6 points and 5.1 rebounds while DJ McDonald is averaging 11.0 points and 2.5 assists.

MSU DENVER HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Roadrunners split a pair of games last weekend, beating Colorado Mesa 85-84 in overtime with Ra'Shawn Langston leading the team with 21 points before falling at Westminster 80-55 on Saturday.

Langston leads four MSU Denver players averaging double figures in scoring at 16.9 points per game. Laolu Oke is averaging 14.1 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, Miles Gibson is averaging 13.8 points and 6.9 rebounds while Tyrei Randall is averaging 12.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
