Lead by Sellers and Killgore, Cowboys wrestling has 5 placers at ERAU Open

Wrestling Saturday at the ERAU Open in Prescott, Arizona, the Cowboys came away with five placers on the day. Winning championships for the Cowboys were Rhys Sellers and Evan Killgore, followed by unattached teammate Naythan Galbiso who medical forfeited in the finals to Sellers, newcomer Zach Ferris finishing 3^rd at 197 and Lance Killgore finishing 4^th at 184.
Rhys Sellers would win the 125-pound title after going 4-0 on the day. His day started with a win by tech fall over Zack Stone from Vanguard University with a score of 20-3. He would then wrestle Hunter Bennett of Doane University in the quarterfinals, defeating Bennett with a major decision of 13-2. In the semifinals Sellers would wrestle another Doane opponent, Nathan Rizek, beating Rizek by tech fall 18-3. In the finals Sellers would receive a forfeit from teammate Naythan Galbiso, who is redshirting this season.
Evan Killgore would be the other champion on the day for the Cowboys, winning the 157-pound bracket at the ERAU Open. Killgore would be dominate in the tournament, winning all four of his matches by fall. Killgore would start the day with a fall over Junior Camarillo from Ottawa University. In the quarterfinals, Killgore would defeat Ruben Rodriguez from Vanguard University with a fall at 2:30 in the first period.
