COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- The New Mexico Highlands women's basketball team lost to UCCS 86-42 on Tuesday at Gallogly Event Center.
The Cowgirls (6-21 overall, 3-18) struggled from the field through the first three quarters, going 7-for-37 (18.9 percent) from the field before going 8-for-14 in the final quarter. UCCSÂ (13-14, 11-10) shot 43.4 percent from the field, including going 9-for-20 from 3-point range.
Jordyn Lewis led NMHU with 10 points.
The Cowgirls end their season 2 p.m. Saturday at home against South Dakota Mines as they celebrate Senior Day.
