LUBBOCK, Texas --- The New Mexico Highlands baseball team lost at No. 25 Lubbock Christian 10-0 at Hays Field in the Cowboys' final tuneup before RMAC action.
Eric Papas went 2-for-3 at the plate for NMHU (2-10) as the Cowboys finished with six hits in the contest - all singles.
Jadrian Martinez got the loss for NMHU, going two innings and giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits with two walks, a hit batter and a strikeout.
Lubbock Christian moved to 11-3 on the season.
NMHU opens RMACÂ play at home 1 p.m. Friday against Colorado Christian.
