LAS VEGAS, N.M. ---Â The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team looks to build some momentum heading down the stretch as the Cowboys travel to take on Fort Lewis on Friday and Western Colorado on Saturday.
COWBOYS HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Cowboys are coming off a 91-81 victory on Friday at South Dakota Mines - led by
Sammy Barnes-Thompkins who drained 10 3-pointers on his way to 35 points.
Barnes-Thompkins leads the team in scoring at 15.4 points per game to go along with a team-high 3.0 assists.
Desmond Carpenter is averaging 15.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.6 steals per game,
Marcus Brown is averaging 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists while
Andre Adams is also averaging double figures at 10.8 points to go along with 5.6 rebounds.

The Skyhawks came off a big weekend on the road where they defeated Colorado Mesa 83-77 on Friday behind 27 points from Riley Farris before beating Westminster 67-59 on Saturday with Akuel Kot scoring at team-high 15 points.
Farris leads the team in scoring at 19.7 points per game to go along with 5.8 boards. Kot is averaging 13.3 points while Brenden Boatwright is averaging 12.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest.
WESTERN COLORADOÂ HEADING INTO THE WEEK | 2021-22 STATISTICS
The Mountaineers played three games last week, winning at Westminster 76-67 Friday before losing 81-72 at Colorado Mesa on Saturday and falling at Colorado Christian 76-67 on Tuesday.
Matthew Ragsdale leads WCU in scoring at 22.4 points per game while averaging 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Avery Rembao is averaging 12.2 points and 3.8 rebounds and Jaelan McCloud is averaging 8.4 points per contest.
