SPEARFISH, S.D. --- The New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team's season came to an end in the opening round of the RMAC Tournament at top-seeded Black Hills State 102-76 Tuesday at Donald E. Young Sports & Fitness Center.
The Cowboys (15-14 overall) fell was within single digits later in the first half before the Yellow Jackets (20-7, 17-4) took a 57-36 lead into the half. NMHU couldn't overcome the deficit in the second half.

Marcus Brown led NMHU with 22 points apiece with Brown adding eight rebounds.
Desmond Carpenter had a team-high four steals and four assists to go along with five rebounds and nine points - helping him move past the 1,000-point mark for his career.
