Las Vegas, NM – Cowgirls take Fort Lewis to 4 sets.
Tuesday 09.06.22 at John A WIlson Complex
6:00 PM — The Cowgirls played in front of a packed house tonight at the John A Wilson Complex and took the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis to 4 sets. The Home team had an excellent RMAC debut against a reloaded and young Fort Lewis team. Graduate Senior,
Anissa Hernandez, who is playing a new position was a vital part of the front line tonight that included a large dose of
Layla Hooks,
Soleil Gandara, and
Keegan Lopez.
When asked about switching to the new position Hernandez has this to say:
This was my old position. I'm rooting back to it. It's been a big transition. I just want to help the team.
Late but Present— The Cowgirls had what
Tom Duke would consider a slow start to the game. That has been the story thus far this season for the Cowgirls who have proven to play better with their backs against the wall.
