Cowboys Comeback Cut Short in Final Moments


Denver, CO- A miraculous comeback was cut just short in the final seconds as Regis hit a layup with 0.5 seconds remaining. The Cowboys were down 40-19 at halftime and stormed back to take the lead multiple times. With their backs against the wall the Cowboys erupted for 57 second half points. Tyler Rodgers came alive from deep during the second half hitting 4 three pointers. Tyler also drained a contested fade away three pointer to tie the game at 76 with 6 seconds left. The following possession Regis was able to get good position in the paint and drain a layup with little to no time remaining. The Cowboys held Regis to zero three pointers in the second half, but were not able to pull off the win. Tyrell Coleman and Tyler Rodger led the Cowboys in points with 16 points each. On a positive note the Cowboys took very good care of the ball in this matchup. Regis turned the ball over 23 times vs Highlands 13 turnovers.

Adams State on the Road- The Cowboys look to get back on track and will take on Adams State on Friday at 7pm. Adams State is ranked last in the RMAC.
