Final Home Matches Of The Year For Volleyball On Tap

Las Vegas, New Mexico - Two home matches remain on the 2023 schedule for New Mexico Highlands as Colorado Mesa and Westminster head to Las Vegas this weekend.

Colorado Mesa enters Friday's contest at 20-3 overall and 9-2 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Mavericks are ranked 11th in the most recent AVCA NCAA Division II poll and are currently in third place in the RMAC with two weeks to go in the regular season. Friday's match marks the 55th time these long time foes have met, with CMU holding a 44-10 record in the previous meetings.

Westminster is currently 10-13 overall and 5-6 in conference play. The Griffins are in a battle for the final RMAC Playoff spots with a handful of teams. Westminster and NMHU have met seven times previously with the Griffins holding a 5-2 lead in the series. The Cowgirls' last win in the series was 3-0 during the 2018 season.

Friday's match is scheduled for 6:00 pm start while Saturday's contest gets under way at 11:00 am. Tickets for both matches are available at NMHUAthletics.com/Tickets.

The Cowgirls will close out the 2023 campaign with matches at Colorado Christian and Chadron State next weekend.
