Las Vegas, New Mexico - Wednesday evening the New Mexico Highlands men's basketball team welcomes in-state rivals Western New Mexico to the Wilson Complex for a pre-holiday contest. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
The Cowboys improved to 3-1 on Monday as they defeated Northern New Mexico 72-65 in Española. Western New Mexico, members of the Lone Star Conference, are 1-3 after defeating Adams State 93-78 on Saturday evening in Durango. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since early in the 2019 season when NMHU beat the Mustangs 74-71 in the Wilson Complex.
Wednesday's game marks the final non-conference game of the 2023-24 season for the Cowboys as they will begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with home games against Colorado Christian and Chadron State the first weekend of December.
