Las Vegas, NM- The Cowboys just about set fire to John A Wilson as no player on the roster lacked confidence in shooting the ball. The Cougars got off to a fast start against NMHU seemingly hitting every shot they took regardless of the contest. However, the Cowboys eventually took over and never looked back. The ball was simply going through the basket for NMHU it did not matter if it was Tj Sanchez,
Dante Moses,
Tyler Rodgers or the rest of the roster. This game was one of the best games NMHU has played this season. The Cowboys crashed the boards, blocked shots, and took great shots. This entire season Highlands has been a team that is extremely tough to beat when three pointers begin falling combined with solid rebounding. The energy was contagious in the arena Saturday night at John A Wilson.
Dante Moses finished the game off with a two handed exclamation dunk sending the Cougars home.
Grand Junction, Co- The Cowboys head will travel to take on Colorado Mesa in a road conference game next Friday night. Mesa is coming off a 71-64 win vs MSU Denver.
