The Cowboys dropped the 2nd game of the series vs Eastern New Mexico University at home on Saturday. The Cowboys bats came alive late but they were not able to match the run total of the Greyhounds as the Greyhounds amassed 15 runs on 21 hits while the Cowboys totaled 8 runs on 15 hits.
Eastern started the scoring in the 1st on a wild pitch. A follow up homer by Cloug extended the lead to 3-0 after the top of the 1st. NMHU then tied it up the second on runs scored by Leger, Romero and Bobs. It was back and forth from there as in the 3rd and the 4th both teams tallied another run. Waugh homered in the 4th. Eastern was then able to extend the lead by 5 runs in the top of the 7th until NMHU brought it back with in two on a 2 RBI single by Bobs. It was all Eastern from there late as they tallied 6 more runs to the Cowboys 1 loan run late off the bat of Ferreira.
