Cowboys lose series at Hobbs

Hobbs, NM - The Cowboys struggle on the road against University of the Southwest. 

The Cowboys started strong on the road in game 1 of the 4 game series but weren't able to stop the bats of the Mustangs. In game 1 the Cowboys held a 2-2 tie in the top of the 5th before surrendering the game winning run in the bottom of the 5th.

Game 2's pace started early for the Mustangs as they jumped out to a 9 run lead then maintained that offensive pressure throughout the game for a 17-2 win. Games 3 and 4 were more of the same as day one. A 3-13 loss and 5-12 on Saturday wrapped the weekend.
The Cowboys will return to Las Vegas this upcoming weekend to host the Greyhounds of Eastern New Mexico. The Cowboys have their loan win of the season at home. That win came February 10th vs Fort Hays.
